Student conferences

The department regularly takes part in the organization and conduct of student scientific conferences at which reports by students, graduate students and young scientists. Scientists from other departments of the university, as well as from the Institute of Electrodynamics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are invited to these conferences.

Every year in November-December at the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute the International scientific and technical conference of young scientists, postgraduate students and students "Modern Problems of the Electric Power Industry and Automation" is held.

The purpose of the conference is to interest young people in scientific work, to prepare talented young people for further scientific work in Master's and postgraduate studies, as well as acquainting students with the urgent problems of fundamental and applied research, solved at the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automation.

At student conferences, students gain experience in public speaking to an audience, learn to respond to questions of the audience, which will be very useful in the future, both in the defense of course projects and dissertation or thesises, as well as in job interviews.

The reports are published in the electronic International scientific and technical journal of young scientists, graduate students and students "Modern problems of electrical engineering and automation".
